If you're looking for a hat that's versatile and easy to knit, you're in the right place. This has been my go-to rib knit hat pattern for years. It's incredibly stretchy so the fit is perfect every time. Add a pom for a little extra something, incorporate stripes or keep it a solid color that'll go with just about anything.

With this pattern you'll get lot's of practice with the 2x2 rib which makes up the majority of the pattern. Then you'll get to experiment with crown decreases and a super simple casting off method. Don't worry if you aren't a pro knitter either. As long as you have a basic understanding of knitting in the round and are comfortable with knits and purls, you'll do just fine.

If using an iPhone or iPad: There's a little blue dot in the address bar once you download the file. Click that and it should be the first file in the downloads. Alternatively, open the "Files" app, and locate the "Downloads" folder there. You will find your PDF pattern in the Downloads folder.

If using an Android phone or tablet: open the "My Files" or "File Manager" app. Within My Files or File Manager, navigate to the "Downloads" folder to find the PDF pattern.

If using a Windows laptop or desktop computer: From the start menu, click "File Explorer", and navigate to the "Downloads" folder. You will find the PDF pattern there.

From a Macbook or Mac computer: in the dock, locate and open "Downloads". You will find the PDF pattern in the folder.

Is this a digital or physical pattern?

You are purchasing a digital pattern in PDF format. This file can be saved to your device, and you can even print it if you'd like a physical copy.
